New user Posts: 3 | Hello. When Moses saw the burning bush, it was not 'magic' but an example of ADONAI'S incredible power. The bush was not consumed. When Moses held up his staff for the Israelites who had been bitten by serpents, and they were healed: it was not 'magic', but another example of Jehovah's power. All mankind tastes death; except for Enoch: who walked with God, and Elijah. The One, True God (of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) and there is no other: says not to mess around with anything else that is not of Him.

A friend of mine last week explained that there are so many angels watching over us now days that the sky is covered in their exhaust and often we have been experiencing the tears of our failures. Veteran Posts: 180 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: !!! Israel !!! | o.....k.....let's get back omn topic and answer the question. yes two types. 1.Kishuf 2.Ma'aseh Sheidim. The first one is the ability to alter the appearance of something without ever changing what it in essence is (e.g. making a pint of blood fully transparent, yet it still has the properties of blood...i.e. don't dry to drink it). The second form can actualy create something, even something alive, from pre-existing matter (e.g. a snake from a staff, a frg from something), this second from is additionaly limmited in its incapacity of creating anything smaller than a grain of wheat (e.g. lice), and it ,ust be performed while standing less than 21.5-24 inches (a biblical 'cubit') above ground. In actual practive the storah openly states not to practice either, since we have something better. No I'm not merely 'rooting for my team', it actualy far supases the limmited capabilities of these forms of 'magic', in addition to providing a sence of security (something worth far more than the biggest gun, and more wholesome than any amount of money). The bond, love, and connection that we SHARE with G-D (that's right it's mutual), empowers us with the ability to merely ask for our needs, and see them fulfilled, without resorting to perverted practices. in practice however the Jewish judicial system does allow and require that the Sanhedrin (Jewish "Supreme Court") be fluent in the use/practice of magic (to have the experiance neccesary to prosecute magicians). But don't go googleing their adress, because untill mashiach comes the sanhedrin will not be formed. (there is a political movement by that name in the state of israel however...so don't get confused). But in practical application, the use of 'slight of hand' and other such illusions have their own set of Halachot [jewish laws]. Regular Posts: 73 ![]() ![]() | Who is Shmuel and Titus? Because speaks very much against spiritulism. And if I'm not mistaken Solomon, David and many more speak and say that the Dead know nothing. That when we die we are buried and know not anything? pk

Extreme Veteran Posts: 409 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Midwest | Shmuel is Samuel who was a great prophet who lead the Jewish people for many years before the Temple was built. I think Shaul or Saul brought him up from the dead to ask him if he should go to war. Titus was the one who set fire to the Temple and exiled the Jewish people. I think he was brought up from the dead and I don't know the rest of the story. When good people die, they go to Gan Eden where they await the coming of the Messaiah. Some say that they do know what is happening down here on earth while others say that they do not. When people pray at the spot where great leaders and Rabbis are buried, it sort of awakens them to pray to Hashem on the Jew's behalf. There are midrashim that tell of such incidents. When the Jews were going into exile they prayed by the burial spot of Rochel and she prayed on the behalf of the Jews and because of that Hashem promised her that her children will come back from exile. I hope that was helpful. If it was not clear or if you have other questions, I would be happy to try and answer them. Have a great day Peakay
